SMU is organizing the annual Adventure Race, ADRACE 2011 Night Edition, once again and early bird registration is open to the first 100 paid participants.
Together with the theme of RACE ALONG THE STARS – it is SMU’s first ever overnight Adventure Race in Singapore!
In teams of 4 with at least 1 male/female, participants will embark on their quest through challenging obstacles to achieve the SMUX-tremist experience and bring glory to the team they are representing.
ADRACE 2011 Night Edition involves a amalgam of activities that pushes your limits in Skating, Underwater Maneuvering, Cycling, Kayaking, Navigating, and Strategising.
Category Requirements (UPDATED on 09th March 2011):
Novice:
Minimum of at least 2 members with at least Bronze Level Swimming Certification or equivalent
Open:
All members with at least Bronze Level Swimming Certification or equivalent
Minimum of at least 2 members with at least One Star Kayaking Certification
Participants without Swimming Certifications (UPDATED on 28th March 2011) :
There will be Water Proficiency Test coming up for you to be eligible for the water activities of the race!

Time: 3pm
Venue: SMU Administration Building Level 6 Swimming Pool

I’m a student from Saint Andrew’s Junior College, I saw the poster in my school today. My friends are interested to join and we are able to form a team of 4 as required. We are interested in joinning the Open Category which includes kayaking. However, I’m the only one in my team who has not gotten a kayaking certification, even though I’m experienced in kayaking. This is because I’ve joined a society in my school which does not provide certification for kayaking.
Pleasse advice as we are really interested in joining the open category.

We only require a minimum of two 1-star kayaking certified members in a team of 4.
You can still sign up with us in the open category! However, do take note that only those who are 1-star certified can kayak! (:
Our RACE focuses on strategising. It is not compulsory that all 4 team members must kayak together. C:
